Continuing with our customer travel postings, here is a one from a customer sharing her food allergy story and lessons learned traveling to Thailand in late 2024.
"Thank you for the nuts and peanut allergy cards and emergency travel cards in Thai. We absolutely loved them. We spent 2 weeks traveling with no issues due to the clarity and simplicity of the information provided.
In each of the 4 hotels we stayed at, we were able to show the cards at check-in or to a waiter/waitress. To our great surprise, the allergy cards were photographed and recorded in the hotel system to alert the food and beverage team to our food allergy. This was followed up by a chef who would personally come over and talk us through the details, walk us round the breakfast buffet pointing out items to avoid and assuring us that any food or beverage required throughout our stay would be prepared from scratch with no cross-contamination. Talk about outstanding service, wowsers! For first time travelers to Thailand with a severe nut and peanut food allergy, the cards helped us immensely. It gave us peace of mind and we were able to enjoy our trip at ease."
