A customer of ours traveled to Morocco in North Africa and offered feedback on nuts:

Generally Morocco seems to be a fairly safe country for nut allergies. Most dishes are simple and don't vary much from restaurant to restaurant or from region to region, so it's easy to become familiar with the basics. If nuts are featured in a dish, it is almost always labelled on the menu as it would be considered one of the defining characteristics of the dish.  The nuts wouldn't just be scattered on the dish as an afterthought or garnish, it would be stated outright. Nuts are very prevalent in candies and baked goods however so avoid all of these.“
